Step #1: Scan Each Item
The cashier will scan each of your items. If you are purchasing both SNAP-eligible and non-eligible items, you can either put all of the items through at once or separate them at the checkout.
Step #2: Insert Your EBT Card
Once each of your items has been scanned, the cashier will ask you to insert your EBT card into the reader.
Step #3: Enter Your Four-Digit PIN
You will receive a unique four-digit PIN number when you activate your card. You should never share your PIN number with others.
Once you have entered your card into the reader, you will be expected to enter your PIN into the machine in order to complete the transaction.
Step #4: Complete Your Transaction
If each of your items qualifies for payment using EBT then once your payment has been authorized, you are free to leave the store
If some of your items do not qualify for payment using EBT, then you will need to pay for the remaining products using another form of payment.
Do All Sheetz Stores Accept Payment Via EBT?
